Dada Blob è un sito web a metà strada tra un prodotto commerciale e un progetto di media art.
Il sito esplora gli aspetti più curiosi e bizzarri di paesi vicini e lontani in un’ottica al contempo pop, locale e globale (glocal pop).
L’intento è celebrare la diversità e l’esotismo implicito in ogni popolo nella convinzione che… it’s good to be different!
Il nome Dadablob deriva dall’unione delle parole Dada e Blob.
Il termine Dada è un omaggio ai precursori storici del “collage taglia e cuci” contemporaneo, ovvero ai movimenti artistici d’avanguardia Dada e Neo Dada.
Il termine Blob invece è stato preso in prestito dalla celebre trasmissione tv degli autori Enrico Ghezzi e Marco Giusti, un pastiche televisivo dalla vena satirica costruito attorno a spezzoni di tv generalista.

Dada Blob is a website that’s halfway between a commercial product and a media art project.
The site explores the most curious and bizarre aspects of various countries near and far, with a viewpoint that is simultaneously pop, local and global (glocal pop).
The aim is to celebrate diversity and the exotic aspect that is implicit in every population, with the conviction that…it’s good to be different!
The term Dada is an homage to its historic precursors of contemporary “cut and paste collage”, the Dada and Neo-Dada avant-garde artistic movements.
The term Blob was borrowed from a well-known Italian TV show, which is a television pastiche in a satirical vein, constructed out of clips of various general television shows.
